The Nymphaion Garden is the oldest of the two and was built alongside the villa in the 18th century. This lush space is adorned with ornamental trees and citrus orchards, Baroque monuments, a stunning gateway, and a large fountain surrounded by statues that pay homage to the four seasons
The Dolphin Garden & Marquee and pond was added in the 1920s and features artistic fountains, a sunken pond, walkways, vegetable gardens, citrus orchards, and surrounding lawns. Both gardens give guests shady pathways and comfortable benches to enjoy, as well as flower beds full of roses, Persian lilac, jacaranda, geranium, and many other flowers unique to the Maltese islands
The intricately woven history and artistic beauty of Villa Bologna also makes it an ideal setting for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. It offers plenty of shade in the summer months and during the warmer seasons, all of the front glass doors and windows are opened, so that even when guests are inside, the outdoor vibe continues.
