It is becoming more popular for a couple to choose different entertainment at their wedding aside from the usual DJ playing the top 40 hits and taking requests. With so many different ways to entertain nowadays, couples are making their weddings more memorable by focusing on their guests and their constant enjoyment. The best part is, it doesn't have to be expensive to be fun.

A Photobooth

Invite your guests to dress up and take some silly photos with a photobooth. Run by a professional photographer, they will bring props and take photos of guests at scheduled times. Some even have the ability to print keepsake photos immediately for guests which can double as a wedding favor.

Dartboard Painting

This is a great DIY project. Fill balloons with different colors of paint and stick them to a large canvas. Your guests can throw darts at the balloons and in the end, you will have a beautiful, one of a kind painting that was made by all of your wedding guests.

Coloring Pages

These aren't just for kids anymore! In fact, coloring has proven to lower stress in adults, and it can be a great way to pass the time while they are waiting for dinner to start. Couples can find adult coloring pages free online to print out.

Icebreakers

This is a great way for your guests to get to know one another. In a small jar, place some cards that say things like “Tell everyone about your favorite pet” for example. It should be passed around the table and everyone can participate.

Live Band and DJ

Just having one or the other isn't as entertaining as a fusion band, where a DJ plays a song and artists work off of what is being played. Percussion groups are a great hit at weddings and give guests something to enjoy during a cocktail hour or after dinner and before dancing.

Lawn Games

If you are having an outdoor wedding, consider having different lawn games available. These games could include ring or horseshoe toss, croquet, oversized chess or tic-tac-toe and much more. These games are sure to keep adults and children entertained while they wait for the bride and groom to arrive. They also offer fantastic photo opportunities for the photographer.

A Bounce House

Another great idea for an outdoor wedding is a bounce house because no one is ever too old for one of those! Great for both guests and the wedding party to enjoy, the bounce house is another great photo opportunity where the photographer can grab some shots of the happy couple and guests alike.

Karaoke

Most couples have friends who absolutely love karaoke. Of course, you likely wouldn't want to subject your guests to karaoke as entertainment all night, it does make for great fun for an hour in the evening, or during the cocktail hour. The bride and groom can invite guests to sing songs and even make a little contest out of it.

Scavenger Hunts

Invite guests to play a scavenger hunt by putting different cards at different tables. Have the table work together or in couples to complete the scavenger hunt challenges and offer a couple prizes for the top three scavenger hunt groups. This will not only entertain your guests but help them meet and work with others at their table for a prize.
